You can’t help but admit that the Korean craze is HUGE – from the entertainment industry to their food! Nothing’s spared! So friends these days are like super into it too! Judging from our meet-ups, KOREAN food is one of the first few that comes to mind, so off we went to Kim’s Family Restaurant at Bukit Timah to celebrate a best friend’s birthday.
After hearing loads of good reviews about this place, thus grabbing the chance to let’s all try it, off we went. I must say, I’m really impressed. First off, they actually allowed reservations to be made during a weekend, which is highly commendable because I’ve seen quite a queue forming when I was around the neighbourhood the last time round. Food portion was good enough (think BIG GUYS), refillable side dishes (just ask nicely, I’m quite sure they’ll gladly love to fill that up again), nice servers. I had the beef rice set which was not that fantastic, but good enough for me. While other friends had the pork set which I though tasted nicer than mine. The bibimbap was GOOD! Really good!
Plus, it was good for the wallet too. The bill came up to about $105 for 7 of us, which is about $15 per person. Other than each of our mains, we had the kimbap and kimchi pancake for sides.
Trust me, we’ll definitely come back again for more and get to try more dishes – RAMEN!! YEAH?
10 side dishes that we absolutely LOVE! Especially the sweet potato right at the bottom. HOT FAVE! A friend went again during a weekday and mentioned that the side dishes were not the same as ours, which we had it on a weekend. So just incase you come complaining to me that there isn’t such a dish, please note that! >,<
The nice server recommended us to order the Kimbap, which didn’t disappoint us. MUST TRY!
How can a Korean birthday celebration end without any celebrities included? Hahaha! Also introducing the BIRTHDAY boy with his VERY SPECIAL cake aka Choco Pie!
